French “Single’s Inferno” Viewers Are Obsessed With Yea Won And Cannot Understand South Korea’s Love For Ji A

Netflix‘s Single’s Inferno may have come to an end, but that doesn’t mean the hype of the show is over. As the excitement of the show remains at an all-time high, one particular YouTube video has started to make headlines for their clashing opinions regarding the reality show’s female contestants.
On January 9, YouTube channel French hotteok released a video comparing and contrasting the two hosts’ thoughts on Single’s Inferno. One host is French and the other host is Korean, so the two ladies sat down to talk about their personal opinions on the dating series—which brought forth some differing opinions.
The French host immediately began by sharing what she was most shocked by, which was the difference in popularity of the female contestants compared to South Korea. She shared that amongst French viewers, Yea Won was the most popular—by a landslide.
She continued with her statement by raving about Yea Won and how popular she was amongst French viewers.

She went a step further to state that it wasn’t just Yea Won that French viewers liked, but So Yeon as well.

However, this was not the only difference between French viewers and Korean viewers. The YouTube host shared even more details about the differing opinions, as she blatantly stated that contestant Ji A was not liked “at all” by French viewers.
French people did not like Ji A at all.

She then shared some additional tweets that were made by French viewers of Single’s Inferno to back up her statement. Here is one particular viewer who made claims about Ji A’s “pretty privilege,” which they believed was the only reason for her popularity.
Ji A controls people with her pretty visuals. She doesn’t really have a good personality or any charm, but three of the male contestants followed her around like puppies. She has pretty privilege.

This particular French viewer revealed their honest thoughts about Ji A’s motive on appearing on the Netflix reality series—which they believed was all for clout.
Ji A doesn’t care about any of the male contestants that showed interest in her. She appeared on the show to gain as much screen time as she could.

The @Frenchhotteok‘s honest thoughts proved to be quite eye opening, since they were the exact opposite of Korean viewers. In South Korea, Ji A and Shin Ji Yeon were the two most popular contestants, while Yea Won and So Yeon were the least popular.
Maybe it’s the differing beauty standards between the two nations or maybe it truly is because of the personality element, but regardless—the two countries’ opinions couldn’t be more different even if they tried!
