*The Philippine tropical jungle is so thick that even locals can get into an accident by entering it alone, and it is difficult to find the way, so it is only possible to climb the mountain with a local mountain guide. If you are hiking in the Philippines, be sure to bring a local guide with you. Hello, this is On and Under. We have returned from our trip to the Philippines safely. At the end of the trip, I enjoyed the most intense adventure of my life, backpacking in Talinis Mountain. Talinis Mountain is not well known to foreigners including Koreans, but there are two large lakes in the crater at 1600m above sea level, there are places to camp on the lakeside, and the scenery is beautiful, so many local backpackers visit. Mount Talinis in the Philippines is the most rugged and difficult mountain I have ever experienced. Even the total distance of hiking was 28 km, which was the longest I have ever climbed. Day 1: 13km from base to campsite Day 2: Campsite - 2km round trip to summit, 13km downhill Total walking distance: 28km It was the toughest climb ever, but thanks to the caring veteran mountain guide Pedro and his daughter and nephew, I was able to enjoy a safe and memorable backpacking experience. I especially remember the time we lit a fire and chatted by the lakeside. And I was able to see the backpacking style of the locals. They were strong people practicing true BPL.
