With two members leaving Mamamoo, we feel like we won’t be able to release albums as we used to.

After Wheein left MAMAMOO’s agency RBW in 2021, Hwasa joined PNATION, leaving Solar and Moonbyul as the only two remaining members of the agency.

Solar honestly revealed her feelings regarding this change, emphasizing the importance of being in a group.

It’s a bummer. I believe that individuals exist when teams exist. Although it’s nice to focus on individual activities, I always wish that Mamamoo, as a team, could become stronger.

She then continued that she felt a sense of responsibility as the group’s leader.

Maybe it’s because I feel a sense of responsibility as the group’s leader, but it’s a bit bittersweet to see everyone concentrating on their own activities. Given the reality of the current situation, there’s nothing we can do, so I want to show our best selves in the given situation.

Despite the change in agencies and the slight bittersweetness about focusing on solo activities, MAMAMOO members still appeared to cherish and care for each other.

Recently, MAMAMOO reunited for a special performance on the tvN variety show Dancing Queens on the Road. Moonbyul revealed that it was Hwasa’s idea to perform together and seeing her close friend work so hard moved her.

Dancing Queens on the Road was Hwasa’s idea.  It felt different to be on stage, and seeing Hwasa take her place on the show as the youngest member moved me and made me think, ‘Look at her trying to be cool.’

MAMAMOO+’s first mini-album, Two Rabbits, is set to be released on July 3 at 6 p.m. (KST).
