WOODZ, also known as Cho Seungyoun, will be leaving Yuehua Entertainment following the expiration of his exclusive contract at the end of October.

In a statement shared by Yuehua Entertainment to various media outlets including Newsen, they have shared that WOODZ will not be renewing with the company.

We would like to inform you that our exclusive contract with WOODZ expires at the end of October.

Since his debut in UNIQ, to his activities as a soloist, we have been able to closely observe his passion as a musician. It has been a meaningful time for us to have been with WOODZ, who has grown into an all-around artist thanks to his consistent efforts and tackling challenges.

We would like to thank WOODZ for his long journey with us and support his new chapter of his life for his next dreams.

WOOD debuted in 2014 with UNIQ and participated in Produce X 101 in 2019. He was selected as a debut member for X1 but the group only promoted for a few months before disbanding due to the vote manipulation scandal surrounding the group. He then continued to promote as a soloist.
