In a recent interview with comedian Jang Do Yeon, where she couldn’t help but gush about how funny SEVENTEEN are after she watched an episode of their iconic variety show Going SEVENTEEN.

Hoshi then revealed that when they were trainees, they actually took comedy lessons…

Revealing the three “Keys of comedy,” which included being relatable, repetition and twists.

If that wasn’t enough, when Jang Do Yeon asked who had improved the most out of the members…

Hoshi revealed that they were trained on how to answer those kinds of questions, with the emphasis being, “Never make the group look bad.”

Hoshi then added that there were other things they had to do as trainees, including reading the newspaper and making logs.

He even acknowledged that now, there are classes they didn’t have, including how to do TikTok challenges.

When the video was released, even CARATs were surprised by the lessons and what SEVENTEEN were taught, adding that it’s not surprising that they’re all so naturally funny.

Others joked about how idols were never afraid to expose Pledis for the things they made trainees do, including Minhyun.

As always, the members of SEVENTEEN aren’t afraid to spill some tea about their time as trainees. While it was definitely tough, they fought through the hardships to become the stars they are.
