A “Marriage Impersonator” Claims He’s Going To Marry A Popular Korean Actress And Tries To Buy Buildings
Recently, the JTBC K-Drama Doctor Cha became one of the highest-rated shows in Korean television history. An actress who played one of the leading roles in the show finally responded to a man claiming he is going to marry her soon.
It was belated known that actress Myung Se Bin, who played Choi Seung Hee in Doctor Cha, was the subject of rumors from A, a “marriage impersonator.”
It was said that A has been visiting real estate agencies and expensive furniture stores in Gangnam, saying, “I’m going to marry Myung Se Bin soon.” An investment expert in Gangnam who recently met A shared their experience meeting the “marriage impersonator.”
In May, A came to buy a building. I didn’t ask, but he shared that he plans to marry Myung Se Bin soon.

A claimed to run a business as he visited these places, however, upon research, it was discovered that A was a designated driver and did not have the money to purchase buildings or expensive furniture. Myung Se Bin’s agency Cosmo Entertainment confirmed A’s existence through various channels.
It was also reported that Myung Se Bin heard a tip-off about A even before she began filming for Doctor Cha, but she did not take action against it because she was afraid it would negatively affect the K-Drama.
Therefore, she kept it to herself until June 12, when she posted an explanation about A in an Instagram post.
She first shared that after much contemplation, she explained what had been happening for the past two to three years.
Hello, this is actress Myung Se Bin. Thank you for your constant interest and love. The reason why I am posting after deep consideration is because I heard from various sources that since two to three years ago, Lee** claimed he was getting married to me soon, while going around real estate agencies claiming to run a big business, getting introduced to newlywed houses and buildings, and trying to get investments in business funds.

The actress then clarified that she does not know this man and has no plans to marry anybody yet.
Everyone, I do not know this person at all, and have no plans to get married yet. If such a person approaches you under the guise of marriage, please don’t misunderstand and be careful not to suffer damages.

Myung Se Bin warned people that stating facts or false facts is considered Defamation of Article 307 of the Criminal Code.
An official from Cosmo Entertainment gave a firm statement on June 11 that they plan on taking legal action if A continues with his impersonation.
Myung Se Bin and A don’t know each other at all but the actor was concerned because A pretended to be married to Myung Se Bin at a brokerage, real estate agency, and furniture company. We are currently considering a defamation complaint. We will take legal action if we get a report of A’s impersonation once more.

Meanwhile, Doctor Cha is about a housewife named Cha Jeong Suk who returns to her medical career while juggling her first-year residency, health, family, and cheating husband. Myung Se Bin plays the role of Choi Seung Hee, the first love of Cha Jeong Suk’s husband and the woman he unknowingly has a child with. Doctor Cha ranked fourth in JTBC’s all-time K-Drama ratings.
